Judy grew up in Dallas and Richardson, Texas always dreaming of becoming a nurse. She finished nursing school and became a bride one month before graduation. An early love of drawing and painting began in elementary school while sitting by a proficient student.
She and David adopted two babies, and moved to California when they were toddlers. Their lives included some special girls who lived with us for varying amounts of time. In a nursing career, she did hospital work at times, and did anesthesia for dentists. One of her favorite stints was a jail nursing job in a women’s facility. Several years later, she concluded this career in a children’s shelter and moved back to Texas. Writing and speaking have been a joy along the journey.
She and her husband, Dave, are frequent travelers on their own as well as to third world countries doing medical missions with Oak Hills Church in San Antonio.
Judy makes jewelry for sale to profit orphans in Haiti. She adores her grandchildren and teaches the Bible to neighbors who gather in her home on Tuesday evenings.
